I leave for a "little" while, and look what happens:jest: Well, maybe now someone will actually have a chance to catch Ghost....LOL

Little update: Heading to Iraq in less than a week..... Don't know if I'll be able to get on much from there

Took first place in the "Hottest and Best" Mustang category at a show and cruise on Sunday, then hit a cop on a bike during the cruise, see end note, then blew a heater core hose on the last lap. That kind of blew, especially when it was added to the fact that I found my grandmother near death Saturday night and had to get her to the ER. Prognosis is not good since they think her cancer went mets on her. Her immediate condition was congestive heart failure accompanied by pneumonia.

End note: The cop on the bike actually turned into me without looking, but accused me of careless driving because I didn't see him. Not that I would have been looking at the 3000 pound missile in the other lane doing a burnout and headed straight toward me, the very same thing he was looking at. Well, the family has had the issue taken care of to the point that it won't ever be on my record since I have no time to go to court to fight it. Cop was a real d**k because he was embarrassed but later apologized to the family for embarrassing us.

BTW, did I mention that it sucks being at zero again?!?!? Not because of my post count so much as all of those posts being lost! There was a lot of good info out there on the boards.

Thanks for everything guys.

BTW, I'm not sure if I mentioned the training accident I had in Cali., but the short of it is that I will not be leaving with my team now and will be meeting them a few weeks later in country, so I have a little time left here.

Sorry for the long delay in the response. I'm in Spain right now waiting to finish my flight to Iraq, so I actually have a few seconds.

My grandmother is doing OK for now, so that's good news.

The training accident was having the tip of my left thumb almost completely detached. Someone, my Colonel, fell on me while we were coming down from sniper positions on a rooftop, and his ceramic plate in his vest was the first thing that hit my thumb, crushing it on the ladder. The distal phalanx is in 4 pieces, the artery and nerve were severed, and the finger was open in three places, two good lacerations and one where a piece of bone punched out. It's healing OK now, and I can grip my weapon again, so I'm off to the sandbox. I just don't have any feeling in the end of it yet, and it hurts like hell to move, the little bit that it will.
