You want to adjust it so that the clutch pedal grabs 1/2, to 3/4 from the floor...Get in the car but the emergence brake on and keep letting the clutch out till it releases where you want it...

what happens if i loosen the firewall adjuster too far? there's a rattling sound coming from under the car and steeda said to loosen it till it stops

i had a firewall adj. on my 87 gt, and it just kept falling off. i have never heard of anyone liking those things. they seem to be more trouble than they are worth.

i kind of wish i just kept my stock adjuster... i dont really need to adjust it for nething and where i like it to catch it chatters a ton, so its pretty pointless i must say lol...

what is your preferred catch point? my stock setup catches perfectly just a little less than half way.

i like when it catches right at the floor for whatever reason... i was able to do that for a little while till i found out the chatter wasn't normal lol but now it catches about halfway for a day until the stupid adjuster starts movin and it catches towards the floor, causing the clutch to chatter... the stock clutch that came in my car caught pretty close to the floor somehow actually...

yeah once you get used to it catching halfway up its actually better lol... but I emailed UPR and they said to just try and twist the stupid locking part of it very tight but i don't know how the hell i'm going to do that... i almost just want to find an OEM one and take the stupid UPR one out...
