Hey guys, im really confused about what muffler to run. I have a basicaly stock 4.6 (cai, custom o/r h-pipe, 4.10's, tb ) and wanted to settle this question, chambered mufflers or straight through mufflers.

My buddy is selling a pair of SLP II's and my co worker is selling some Mac mufflers. Im really confused because they both say their muffler sounds bad ass. But I did hear that with a straight through muffler, you lose some backpressure which will hurt your torque. ????
I need some new mufflers bad, I have a gash on my Flows. Can you guys shed some light on this because im not sure at this point which way to go. Thanks!!!

the macs are going to sound like your flowmasters...so if you like that sound then just get them...

If however you want it to sound Badass, then get the SLP

Your not going to really notice to much difference in loss of low end which ever way you go...cause you've already lost the bigger part of it by takeing out the cats...

i like them both, but keep in mind of what kind of volume you are looking for. the macs will be loud and sound good. the lm 2's will be REALLY loud and sound good as well. i am running o/r-h and lm 1 click the link in the sig if you want. also go to my youtube homepage from there and i have videos of my car with flows on as well to help you out.

Back pressure won't matter since you've already taken off your cats like Ghost said....

The MAC mufflers will sound very similar to the Flows while the SLP IIs will be louder at WOT and tend to drone less around 2k. Either would be a good choice IMO>

Thanks for all your input guys! Based on your feedback, I decided to buy the Slp's and installed them that same day. WOW, very nice. There's less drone @ 2K, and at WOT, it SCREAMS!!
I can still cruise without drawing too much attention. But when I get on it, ya know im coming.

I know this set up might not be my last, but I will enjoy it untill my next combo....

Both are good but SLP LM2's are not bad at all. I have them and they sound good until you hammer it down... and when you do, they sound SWEET! The SLP LM1's are REALLY LOUD hands down but some people like that, to each his own. I have an exhaust vid on the site here posted check it out.

i was thinking about maybe putting some slp loudmouths 1's or resonaters on my car and was just woundering if there would be an extreme difference in the sound as far as the loudness from changing from 1 chambered flows. by the way i have stock h pipe. they are just not loud enough so i was thinking slp.
