If only happens on start up I'd say bad valve seals. When the motor cools the seals contract allowing oil to get by in to the cylinders. When you cold start it the oil starts burning off giving you the blue smoke. If you have any warranty left I'd take it back to the dealer.

it stopped doing it. im thinking i might have just had too much oil or something. but it was only doing it for one day

My 01 cobra did that from about 35,000 until I traded it at 75,000.. some say it comes from the pcv system on the 4 valve cars I don't know.. I would keep a check on the oil level..

yeah i kept checkin it and it went down a little, a little below the maximum mark on the dip stick so thats why i think i put in too much oil. i'm thinkin about gettin one of the oil breather cap things or whatever.

hmmm....how many miles on your car? try going to a regular oil (non-snythetic or semi-snythetic) a little thicker oil may prevent it seaping into the place you don't want it seaping

^ try going to conventional oil but don't screw around with the viscosity's always put in what the manufacturer has recommended. Just switching to synthetic can make the difference of seaping oil, it deffinately sounds like valve seals tho, but if it has gone away then don't worry about it as weird as that is

my honda blows smoke on start up but the valve seals are pratically new. Im pretty sure my rings are bad. Im gonna run 10-30 instead of 5
