Is it legal to have an uncatted mid-pipe? Im kinda confused about the laws and wondering if my car could pass inspection with an uncatted mid-pipe.

In NC the law states that any 1996 and newer vehicle must pass an emissions test....and no a o/r mid pipe will not pass, and also some "hi flo" catted mid pipes will not pass.

you'll pass as long as your car isnt puttin out a SES light. if you're not puttin out any codes and they dont look under your car then you can pass with o/r mid pipe
