Question about X pipes

I know some X pipes are tru x pipes like the bassani and magnflow and some x-pipes look like two pipes welded together to form a X such as UPR, Pypes and SLP. Do these two types of X pipes make a difference in sound?

I went with the Pypes catted X-pipe. Got it from a local seller for $300. It was practically brand new. The shop couldn't install it with his new turbo. I almost went with a bassani. Granted the bassani might be better quality and pypes fitement may be an issue, but that wasn't a problem. I had an exhaust shop install it. The Owner of the shop said the pypes x-pype design is better than that of bassani. The owner, Ed Hanson, is one of the pioneers of the x-pipe.
