Just started putting on my new SSS catback yesterday and have a question. After getting everything put together I was checking clearances and found that the muffler is touching the bottom of the floor pan on the passenger side. I can't imagine this is correct and was hoping someone may have a simple solution. I have all the pieces in the right place (ie passenger side vs driver's side, hangers, etc).
Thanks

what you do is...unbolt it...put it back in the box and send it back and order the SLP system...

Why would he want to downgrade his exhaust Ghost??? j/k :D
72RAW, why can't you just rotate some of the piping, or the muffler a little bit? I've had those very same mufflers on the exact same year Mustang as yours, and had no issues.

Man, it seems like I tried every different way to put this damn muffler on and this was the only way I could get things to line up. I finally had had enough. I will take another look at it this week and see what I did wrong. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't supposed to be like that before I took the whole thing apart. MRTSTANG, how much clearance should there be?? And by the way...these things sound freakin great...exactly what I was looking for!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems, but at the same time i'm glad you like the sound lol.
I'll go look under my car tomorrow, and see how i have the mufflers on there, and how much clearance there is.
I have the Terminator mufflers on right now (which are 1" smaller in diameter) but it'll give me an idea.
Hang tight in the meantime. I'll let you know.

Well, I put the driver's side on today (finally) with NO problems whatsoever. Took the passenger side apart and tried every different way again with no improvement. Guess that's how it fits...1/4 inch of clearance. Sounds great though...can't wait to get the MRT h pipe!!

I did end up checking under my ride, and the passenger side is a tight fit, but had a good inch or more clearance.
You'll love it with the MRT h pipe. That's what i had before i had to sell it to accommodate for the long tubes.
