How much of a difference is there between an original flowmaster and a delta flowmaster? I have a 302 bored .40 over, gt40p heads, and a e303 cam. They guy I got it from said they were delta flows, but how can you tell the difference between the two? I want it to have a louder cam lobe at idle

Deltas are SS and that's all they make now I beleive...the orriginals were a tad louder...but you would be hard pressed to actually notice the difference
I think the part number is stamped on the muffler body. That's really the only way to tell the difference since the Flows all look very, very similar.

^^^when they switched to Deltas thought...they kept the same part number
Flowmaster still makes the original 2 chamber, Delta 40, Super 40, Super 44, stainless versions of some mufflers, etc., etc. They are really milking it...

well I have the originals...had sorry before slp...and then a year later...Swisser bought the Delta's and it was the identicle part number and when I contacted flowmaster to see what the deal was...they had just migrated the originals to the deltas...maybe they changed back??? :dunno:

Yes they do still make originals, just wonder if it would be worth it to swap them out
