Just installed the FRPP stingers on my Shelby. The fit and look are excellent. I love the sound when I'm on it, but wish it was louder at regular driving and idle. All in all though I'm pleased with the product. I do have a question. If I leave the manifolds stock and get a catted mid pipe will that add to the sound of the exhaust. I've heard yes it would and no it would not to this question. Also I've heard that if I put a high flow H pipe on that would give it a deeper throatier sound, but I dont know if its wise to put an H pipe on a Shelby. Any info would be appreciated.

pete you are not gonna get a louder exhaust unless you get a muffler delete or SLP. You are not gonna get any louder with another mid pipe unless you get uncatted. I have had an hpipe on my Kooks headers. It sounded OK but with my custom tune it didnt run as well. Remember from an earlier conversation the stock cats on a gt500 flow very well. Really only way to get louder is do the above or get long tube headers

Thanks Rob.Yeah I recall that conversation. If yours didnt run as well I'll just stay with what I got. I know it sounds like I'm not happy with the stingers but I am. It's a really nice exhaust.

Get a mid-pipe with hi-flow cats. The hi-flow cats are louder than stock cats. H-pipe with hi-flows will be a little deeper than an X-pipe with hi-flows. Either an x or h goes well with the stingers.
