I just received one of our O-NEX 8000K Hi/Low Beam HID headlight kits for my Mustang today. The stock bulbs suck pretty bad and since I'm using the Bullitt grille I don't have the benefit of the fogs.

I hope to get it installed this weekend and will post my review of the kit.

To update on the install, I got 'er done over the weekend and it went well. The HIDs look awesome, especially with my halo headlights. The tough part of the install is figuring out how to route the wiring harnesses, finding a place to mount the ballasts & relay, and figuring out where to tap into power & ground. Once I figured that out it was easy.

Most installs I've seen have the harness routed under the radiator cover, but after looking closely I decided to piggyback off the factory engine harness and go around the back of the motor. It turned out perfect and the harness length was spot on! Most of the wires are out of sight for a factory-installed look. The only parts really visible are the ballasts, but they look kinda cool anyway.

The the only modification I had to make was enlarging the mounting hole on the relay a tiny bit so that the mounting screw I decided to use would fit. I don't want to drill any holes into the body to mount the ballasts so I'm gonna use double sided tape to mount them onto the front of the strut towers. I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit since the tape must be applied above 65 degrees and right now we're getting freezing weather.

I'll post pics of the finished install a little later when the ballasts are attached. For now, here are the pics of the lights, before and after.

Not really. It's a very simple plug-n-play setup with no splicing or soldering needed. Once you know where to route the wires the rest can be done in 15-30 minutes tops. And since the wires run with the engine harness there is no need to remove any panels. You only need a socket to tap into the power and the grounds. Super easy install.

Now I just have to get the headlights aligned correctly because when I installed the halo lamps they were all out of wack and pointing way too low.
