Hey Guys and Girls

Need some help. I'm new to this site and a new owner of a 2006 Mustang GT. The guy who had the car before me placed the magna flow axle back exhaust and to be honest it doesn't really do it for me. It sounds good when you step into it but its not much louder or better sounding then stock, in my opinion. Its the large muffler magna flow not the smaller version.

I'm thinking of getting the SSS Terminator. From what I have heard so far they seem pretty nice. First and foremost the sound seems nice and 2nd the price is pretty good too. I'm not looking for balls to the wall loud, cant hear myself think sound, just looking for something that is a huge improvement over stock.

I also do not wish to replace the whole system at this time, meaning headers, h pipe etc.... I was however am looking at replacing the cats with one of the high flow models. Is that something you would all recommend and is that easily done by myself without welding, just using clamps??????

I would consider myself fairly knowledgeable about cars so please speak on and thanks so much for your help.

Welcome! I have the SSS Terminators, and absolutely love them! With a high flow catted mid pipe, they will sound even better. They will be significantly louder than the Magnaflows, but with a nice deep tone. I think you'll really like them.

If you're talking about placing some high flow cats on your stock h pipe, you'll have to have the current ones cut out, and the new ones welded in.

So the clamps that they give you for the cats will not work?

I could be wrong, but i was under the impression that the cats would have to be welded in to ensure proper function and fit. I know with my car that is the case.

It's not going to be easy to remove the cats on your stock H-pipe and replace them with others. Just take a look at the way they are welded and you'll see why. Your best bet is to simply replace the entire H-pipe with another mid-pipe that includes high flow cats.

I have made my decision; going with SSS Terminators. From what I have heard they sound just my style. I will be placing my magna flo exhaust for sale as soon as the terminators are on. I also decided to go with Brenspeed for my performance tune. The bama tune guys just doesnt sem to have his act together right now. Its unfortunate but I cant sit back and wait for a business owner to straighten out his problems when I need service. The guys at Brenspeed seem on the ball.

If you give me a chance, we're in the process of becoming a SSS Exhaust vendor and I'm sure we can match whatever price you're getting now - plus we have free shipping. I'd love to sell you this kit!
