I think the BX system is not stainless
Bassani has two lines of products, the BX and original Bassani. Within each of these lines of products they have different styles of mufflers and one of them is the Street Comp, which happens to be their standard muffler they include in most systems. Other mufflers are Quiet Thunder and Race. Unless it's explicitly noted, you can assume most Bassani cat/axle-backs come with Street Comp mufflers.
To answer your question, no, there is no difference in sound between Bassani's BX and non-BX mufflers. Their internal design is the same and the only difference is the steel that the mufflers are made from (which has no significant affect on sound). Bassani BX mufflers are made of a lower grade steel (don't take this as meaning low quality) compared to the original Bassani mufflers (non-BX, or sometimes called SS) which are always made of top-grade 304 stainless steel.
Hope that answers your question.
