Hello my set up for my 2008 gt is stock headers ,high flow cats, o/r x pipe and slp LM's.
At low rpms it sounds really good but when i punch it i get a raspyness high tone. dont get me wrong its sooo loud but What could make that raspyness go away and make it deeper as well. Im willing to make any change i can do get rid of the raspyness. Also i feel like my exhaust sounds better when inclining up a street or highway then on flat ground. Could something be blocking the airflow
Please everyones help would be appreciated

^^^well first of all you need to explain something...cause you can't have cats and an o/r X pipe
o/r means no cats...
so, do you have them or not?
if not...then adding them will help cut down the raspy sound

well i originaly had an o/r xpipe which deleted the cats but then i cut where the cats used to be which was just straight pipe and put high flow cats. I dont want to lose the loudness cause it sounds good but the raspyness is a little annoying

^^^alright so as it stands right now it's a hi-flow catted pipe, which is fine, there are two things working against you here...one is the X pipe and one is your 2008 GT
See, when slp built the LM mod system for the new edge cars 99-04 they came with the LM Rezzy's, now on the 05+ you just get the pipes and nice tips...
The LM resonators, although straight though and extremely hi-flow, do actually effect the sound and tone...and to be honest I wouldn't have even thought that myself untill I did a comparison of straight pipe and LM Rezzer's...I don't know why SLP chose to go this way...because although a small area, there is still more than enough room as far as I know where the axle back goes to put them resonators in there.
So I guess the point is...that willl effect the sound, switching to a hi-flow catted H will effect the sound OR switched to and O/R pipe but dropping in some LM II resonators will help IMO
It's going to be very hard to keep your loudness and get rid of the rasp you don't like...but the suggestions I mentioned above are about your best bet to try...

LM 2's will be an improvement, but it will still be raspy to some extent with a o/r x. It will be less rasp, and still be loud, but not like before.
If you really want to eliminate the rasp you'll need a catted mid pipe. If you want to keep the o/r x then you'll have to live with some (it will vary with different mufflers) no matter what you do.

I don't know man...I don't want to tell you something then turns out it doesn't work for you or you don't like it lol
ummm...I'm sure it will get rid of the rasp and still be plenty loud...but not as loud as it is right now obviously...
