2009 GT500- No Mufflers??

I've had my 2009 GT500 for about a week now. I was very disappointed with the stock mufflers; not a very good sound at all!! I had some Magnaflow mufflers tacked on, but they didn't seem to improve the sound very much. So, I had straight pipes put on in the place of the stock mufflers. It now has a very nice sound; but the car "pops" when I let off the throttle. This is not an objectionable sound, but I am concerned about the long term of effect of not having any mufflers at all. Is this something that I should be concerned about??

SLP Loudmouth 1 kit has no mufflers. :dunno: I have a friend here with an 07 with the slp kit and he has nothing but smiles. I installed it for him cuz some kid laughed when he started it up at a big car show and asked if it was a six cylinder. Then he followed me as we headed back to our town and that was all it took. Later that week we took our other buddies 05 roush and he had straight pipes put in place of the roush mufflers which were also super quiet.
Moral of the story is it's just noise and the only thing i think it could hurt is some feelings. :thumbsup:
