Will a '97 Cobra mid pipe fit a '03 Cobra?

a friend of mines wants to sell me his pro chamber from his 97 cobra to put on my 03 cobra...will it fit?? as far as i know h and x pipes will interchange..any input...thanks!-jim

Generally speaking, no, the pipe is not interchangeable due mainly to the differences in transmission cross brace locations. Your 6-speed tranny uses a different cross brace that is positioned differently relative to the chassis than the one on your friend's Cobra. That could make a difference in the way the pipe is bent since it has to go around this brace.

Unless you guys can easily do a test swap without too much trouble, just go for a pipe that is designed specifically for your model Cobra.

As a related side note, usually you can interchange pipes between 1996 and 1998 Mustangs. Also, you can interchange between 1999 and 2004 Mustangs. But you usually can't interchange between those two body styles.
