I just picked up a pair of magnaflow mufflers (not packs) to swap into my flowmaster 40 american thunder catback tired of the drone and was hoping they would be a little louder. I am a little concerned now because ive been hearing the maganflows are quiter then the flows. Is this true will the car be quiter or louder with the magnaflows. Here is the rest of the exhaust that the mufflers will be paired up to.
96 Cobra, stock header, mac o/r h-pipe.
In my opinion, the Magnaflows will be no louder than the Flows, and they may actually be a little quieter. Magnaflows have a lot of sound absorbing material surrounding the straight-through core. You'll probably notice a reduction in drone, however.
