Quick intro since I'm new here. I owned a '95 GT Vert for about the last 4-5 years. Joined the Army in 2006 and haven't really seen much of Mustangs since then since I've been in training over overseas. I am now deployed to Iraq and bought a Sonic Blue 40th Anny 2004 GT Coupe while over here and had my father take care of everything for me back in West Palm Beach, FL. I will be home within a couple of months, and the exhaust needs to be replaced as it is rusted to hell. Currently has an aluminized Magnaflow catback and a "High-Flow Catted H." Just did springs/shocks/struts/cc plates and now it's time to browse for the exhaust. So far, I've really liked the sound of Magnaflow and Mac Flowpaths. I'm looking for a deep/throaty rumble with minimal popping/rasp. What do you guys think? And what's a good midpipe to pair with it? Pro Chamber, O/R X, or O/R H? Headers are stock. Also, what size are the tips that come with the Flowpath catback? I prefer everthing in stainless.

either of those exhausts will give you a deep rumble. as far as crackle pop, if you want less of that then go with the flowpath. It will also be easy on the rasp but produces a certain tone to it that a few people on the forumn think is annoying. It is not as bad as the flowmasters drone. The magnaflow will be crisper from what I have heard but when you downshift you will get that pop. If you went with magnapacks you would get that infamous clap sound. IMO, if you want no rasp then go with an H pipe as X's will produce raspiness. Also a prochamber will produce raspiness, bubt a unique not half as bad raspiness as X pipes. So if you stay with an H pipe and go with the flowpath I think youll get what your looking for. the mac also produces some nice numbers but thats just a side bonus. Or you could be like me and get slp with an O/R X pipe and have all your neighbors, check that, the neighborhood hate you. I hope I helped and Post up some pics of that beauty!

Magnaflow is deep with no rasp and minimal popping - if you really want to smooth it out pair it with a prochamber. I think that's about as smooth as you can go IMO.

Well, I think I will go for a magnaflow. For me it sounds better and the aesthetics of it is really good.
