Ok - just got in from work and heard a funny little rattle going on every time I'd push down the pedal. I noticed it as I was pulling into the garage. Anyway - found the passenger cat "cover" to be loose. I don't see much rust at all in the area - a weld-able issue?

I would just replace the entire engine with a fully forged 4V motor and crank up the boost on the KB. That should solve your issue.

Reeeeeeeeeeeeal helpful Dom :p
The question would be - replacement required or repairable? Smells like the cat is toast :dunno:

if the cat is toast you can have the old ones cut out and have some new ones welded in. I heard that Magnaflow makes some good cats.

I was planning on an O/R pipe but spot weld + band clamp FTW ;) It was just the heat shield...

Yeah i hit a pretty massive speed bump one time and heard something weird. Then later on down the road when i went to get offroad pipe installed the guy showed me the cat that i bottomed out on and it was empty... guess i was running a half off-road xpipe LOL
