Hey guys, Just installed the Bassani Catback on my 04 GT.
I love the sound, and the howl at about 2200rpm on accel. I am looking to getting a midpipe soon and headers possibly. I want to keep the deep rawr/rumble sound i have with bassani but amplify it. Think I should do an H pipe with high flow cats?
If i do headers. What would you recommend as for longtubes. Bassani makes only an X and it wouldn't work with long tubes.

H will help to keep it at a low rumble...maybe check into Mac, MRT makes good quality but I'm not sure if they make a shorty H to fit LT's, I know BBK does though, check into one of those if you want an H

id consider a prochamber made by mac a bassani x pipe is ideal but not with the lt's

How is the quality of the BBK Cat H-Pipe? I haven't really heard anything about it. I'm debating right now if I go off-road or with the cats. I think it might be way overboard without the cats noise wise. Is there any video that you can hear the noticeable difference between the Cat H-PIPE and Cat Bassani X.

The quality of BBK in my opinion is garbage... I don't know how it would be for the 4.6 but on my Fox I had to widen the width of the two pipes... One side of the exhaust would match up to the collector perfectly but the other was about an inch off. So I had to stand on it and pull up on one side until it bent enough to fit.... I'm not the only one who had the same problem, my dads BBK H didn't fit his longtube, and neither did his catted H for emissions..... 3 out of 3 needing to be modified is enough for me to never buy BBK again:nono:
You can always go with the Bassani Mid Length Headers. The same X pipe works with shorties and the Mid Lengths, but you just won't get that deep rumble your looking for...:dunno:

Thats enough for me not to buy BBK either. I'm not paying for something I have to modify to work. At that point i should just fab up my own mid pipe. I've heard good things about MRT. How about the pro-chambers? What kind of sound would I get from that

I ran a Pro-Chamber for a while on my old 89' Foxbody and loved the sound it had through FlowMasters. I don't know how it would sound with a Bassani Cat-Back though.... I also knew a guy who ran a full mac exhaust with pro chambers on his 04 Mach 1 and it sounds amazing... To me it sounds just like a regular H-pipe with a deep rumble but at the same time a little more unique than other Stangs you hear.....
I've also heard good things about MRT and plan on buying a Mid-pipe from them in the future.... All I need is money:cursing: lol

You won't be able to go LT's if you go with MRT as they don't make a shorti H pipe

bbk isn't all that bad. I think Mac does make a shorty H pipe tho...and go ahead and go o/r unless you have to pass emissions in your area. Even if you do you may not pass with lt's and a high flow mid pipe...depends on what kind of test they do

Not worried about emissions lol. 96 and above get plugged in. PCM has no stored codes and all monitors passed. you pass. Just need to have proper MIL eliminators in place to trick the pcm to thinking the post o2s are doing something.
I'm really leaning towards an O/R prochamber. Or possibly a catted bassani X with bassani mid lengths if i hear one and like the X sound. :groovy:

I have never found a BBK o/r H for new edge stangs. Just one for LT's. Maybe I looked in the wrong places? But I bought a MAC o/r H. its done me good thus far. And it fit great.
