Hey guys, new here and looking for a little help. I have a 2000 GT with o/r Bassani X pipe and Borla Stinger cat back. It sounds really mean, but it is just too dang loud and needs backpressure I think. I put dynamat in the whole car just so I could handle driving around haha. Anyway, I was thinking about cutting in a couple high flow cats. My questions:

Would this help much?
Is there any type/brand you would recommend (assuming I don't need to put bassani in there)?
Will it help with decelleration popping?

Thanks for all the help!

Mike

Magnaflow high flow cats are what you want. That's what's on MAC and MRT pipes. It will help with that decel popping too...

I think it would be easier to just buy a catted pipe though :dunno: Ghost might be able to add more expertise to this though - he made his own modular H....

89.95 a piece for those from Nino before taking off 5% for the member discount...

Looking at around $170 for two of them shipped to your door through Ninosport

You could save yourself the work, sell your O/R pipe, buy a catted pipe and come about spending close to the same (ok - maybe $100 off)

Awesome, that is exactly what I needed to know. I think it would just be easier to chop them in instead of having to deal with installing a new x-pipe and selling the old one.

Feel free to give out any other tips for me, I guidence well :)

Thanks!

i think it would be easier to just put a new X in esp if you have a lift... i'd just be nervous about leaks when hackin up the o/r and tryin to get cats in it... but cats will be perfect for what you seem to dislike about the o/r midpipe...

Yep...like Swisser said, get yourself a set of Magnaflow 3-way hi flow cats and put them in...it will knock the sound down but still be very agressive

Yeah I would agree to just getting a new X with cats. A lot easier and quicker like Niehaus mentioned

if you have money to burn... it's easy to build if you have the proper tools... $60 a cat
