So my service engine light came on shortly after removing my cats. I figured it was just cause there were no cats on there anymore so I got some MIL eliminators. All seemed well til I put 50 miles on the car and it came back on. Brought it in to autozone and the read the code and it says something like 02 sensor slow to respond or something along that line. Any of you with cats ever run into this problem?

Also, my ABS light randomly turns on and off. When this happen traction control turns itself off. This leads me to belive that one of my rear sensors is going bad. Anybody ever deal with this before?

It took several tries before my computer accepted the readings the MIL elims send out. All I had to do was disconnect the battery for several minutes each time, and eventually, it stopped coming on.

Check your brake fluid level. The ABS light will come on if it is low.

Also, I'm not sure if you have changed tires/rims, but if the height ratio is too extreme from front to rear, this will cause the computer to disable the ABS and turn the light on. I've also heard of the ABS sensor being knocked loose and causing the light to come on. Just some more things to check.

I'm not sure if my memory is correct, but I also believe that the ABS light should be flashing a code, much like a check engine light flashes a DTC. Once you have the code, you could also have AutoZone etc. scan it, then you can actually chase the cause. Here are the trouble codes:

12 - system ok
19 - anti-lock control module
22 - right front valve
24 - left front valve
26 - rear valve
31 - right front ABS sensor continuity fault
32 - right rear ABS sensor continuity fault
33 - left front ABS sensor continuity fault
34 - left rear ABS sensor continuity fault
41 - right front ABS sensor
42 - right rear ABS sensor
43 - left front ABS sensor
44 - left rear ABS sensor
61 - pump motor/pump motor relay fault
63 - voltage supply interruption
69 - vehicle battery voltage less than 10VDC
78 - ABS sensor frequency fault

Hope something here helps.

The CEL eventually turned itself off. I put MIL illiminators on and it just came back on. I drove around for about 200 miles and still it was on. Then I went to start it last weekend and it has not came back on. Put over 200 miles on the car and still nothing. The code was saying that a rear O2 sensor was responding slowly. I need to get the car to autozone for the ABS thing though. I am 90% sure that one of my abs sensors is going bad. That light is on and off all the time.
