I like Obama, just seems to be the better canidate to me for a couple reasons...

but I am not voting. (because im at school and don't have an absentee vote or didn't register or follow through with any of that process)

Maybe I like Obama because I am from Illinois, or maybe its just because he seems like a very well educated and well spoken guy...who knows, just seems like the B.S. he is feeding the public sounds better than McCain.

And plus, Palin? really?? really?? I mean, common now...

However, I did look at some of Obama's standings on certain topics and did not agree with him...but the 'more important' topics seem to be accounted for.

Either way, I am looking forward to seeing our economy get out of this recession, and feel like its bound to happen with a new president, regardless of who it is. (and not just soley because of the new presidentcy, but i think we won't go into another 'Great Depression'...and that means things will have to pick up, and whoever is in office will most likely get the credit for it)

Two words best used to describe Obama... Communist or Socialist. Neither is American. I also cant trust a guy who hangs around unrepentant terrorists that attacked this country...

free health care, redistribution of wealth, more sever restrictions on firearm ownership/ out and out ban of any good semiautomatic weapons. example. Washington DC, You cannot own a semiautomatic pistol because they are considered machine guns which is a complete falsehood. The guy is basically an empty suit and i dont like that.

like I said, I am not voting...so, in turn, I am not going to complain about anything.

And it seems like politicans say anything to get into office, and rarely follow up. (may have a lot to do passing bills in congress and yadda yadda) but point being, we need some kind of change, and the change that is most important (to me at least) is to get the stock market back up and stablize the middle class.

Im happy Obama got elected, and am excited for the future of the U.S.

What kills me the most is that there are females who voted McCain and are BASHING Obama and said that the country is SCREWED and when I asked them if they support woman's suffrage, they said no.

I don't think obama will be a bad president, its just the majority of democrats in the house and senate that kind of scare me, leading me to think that there is a possibility that there will be extreme laws or bills that will pass without hesitation

thats my biggest fear... they are filibuster proof now... its not good not good at all.... there will almost be no stopping it.
