Hey Guys...

I have a 99 gt. BBK LTs, BBK catted H, and SLP LM1 catback...

My car sits fairly low to the ground (low enough to scrape while driving over a minor "hump." I have a feeling that this scraping has been the cause of my drivers side H-pipe flange (where it connects to catback) to slip off of the H pipe all together. This has opened up some options for what I can do.

1) have the flange welded back on and go back to old exhaust.

2) remove the catback (which I've already done), weld in some piping and mufflers to come out to the side (looking at getting roush body kit eventually)

-Then I could sell my catback to someone who may want it (let me know if you or anyone you know might be interested)

The problem with option 2 is that there is no support for the midpipe. The bbk H has hangers, but they are located directly under the tranny.

Basically, does anyone know if it's possible to have hangers welded to underbody? Has anyone ever done it? Or... How do people support the exhaust when they have dumps?

Thanks in advance..

There are hangers just behind the mufflers that are normally used to support the cat-back. These hangers are used by the Roush side-exit kit to support the mufflers as well as by "dump" systems. Not sure if the SLP Loud Mouth kits uses them, but the majority of systems use them.

If all else fails and you have to have some hangers welded on, it's no big deal. Any muffler shop will be able to do it. Just make sure they secure them to a solid piece of the chassis.
