Well I got quoted at $150+ to make custom race pipes for my car so I took it on myself to go to autozone and get some pipes and do it myself. Ended up spending about....$15 on 2, 2-1/2" flared pipes. Between pulling the cats off, which I will describe in a second, and reinstalling everything it took me about 8 hours. I still have 2 leaks I need to fix tomorrow. All in all the car sounds a bit louder at idle but I havent had it on the road yet. Pulling the "removable" cats off was the biggest pain in the ass that I have ever been a part of. I had to remove the whole x pipe, minus the drivers side pipe that comes off the manifold. Then once I got it off I still had to spend damn near an hour beating the cats off of the X. Once I got that done I then had to cut the new pipes and all that which required me driving across town to my work to use the vice clamps and junk. I ended up driving about 60 miles all day just to get this done. But I saved myself around $100 :groovy:. I will try and get exhaust clips up once I get the whole system straightend out. Still not sure if this is going to be a temporary or full time setup...but it sure was cheap.
