when to shift

going to the track tommorow night never gone before in this car. ill be practicing launching the car tommorow mourning but slipping the clutch at 3k rpms has me spinning for a tiny bit before it hooks. i think im gonna shift her at 5200 cause ive heard the newer gt's dont make power as high as the older ones. what you guys think?

my brother launches at 6k and shifts at 5200 but again that's on his fox...so...I don't know about the new ones...
