Hey all, I'm a year into my 07 GT and it's time to make some changes. I don't know much about exhaust other than what I've read in the forums thus far but I was just wondering what I could do to make my sound louder and more aggressive. I've been combing YouTube and other websites for audio but as everyone knows nothing does the real thing justice like listening to it in person. Anyway I wanted to get the most sound out of the least parts. Now I'm aware of the fact that in the long run I will need to put more money into getting headers etc. but for now I want to know what to start with until I can save up enough money. Do I necessarily have to get new mids? Mufflers? What can I change and what can I keep to satisfy my hunger for a loud, mean, aggressive sound that will turn heads and make other drivers cry? If I can't achieve that with minimum replacements then please be straight with me.

Thank you very much!

Sound like you should consider the Boom Tubes. They are basically a muffler delete axle-back kit with a louvered core in the tips. I ran them on my '06 GT and they sound loud and mean! That was the only change I made to the exhaust and it sounded great!

another option is the Ford Racing 5GTs which is basically the borla stinger exhaust. Fairly loud stock and mean as hell with headers (see avatar)
