im looking into getting a kenne bell the kit iv been leaning towards is the 5psi non intercooled kit for the following reasons its quite a bit cheaper and way easier to install since there is no intercooler to worry about and i will be installing myself so the easier the install the better any opinions ? i know badass is the kenne bell guru but not sure if hes around

my opinion is save the extra cash and spend more time installing it and put the intercooler in

you could always just run a meth injection with it, but it will be an 03-04 cobra based IC. You will need the resivior and the lines to do so

iv looked into that a little bit as far as it looked the install on that is harder than a IC

Eventually you're gonna want more power. Get the intercooled version. 5psi is only going to add ~ 75rwhp. If your car is mostly stock that is going to put you at around 340rwhp. You're gonna want closer to 400rwhp.

If you're definitely set on Kenne Bell then go for it, but i think $4700 is a little much to pay for only 5psi. I will tell you to consider the new Vortech V3 Si or Paxton SL 2000. Both are internally lubricated so no tapping of the oil pan. With the stock 3.6 pulley and a powerpipe you will make 10psi. Should add around 130rwhp, which will put you right at or just over 400rwhp, and you will pay around $4,000 for a compelte kit. The centri blowers don't produce as much heat as the twin screws so no intercooler is needed at the 10psi level. It won't have instant boost at 2500rpms like with the kb, but it will pull strong from 3500rpm +. If you want the feeling of instant boost that low in the powerband, then throw a 4.10 or 4.30 gear in the car. Go to modularpowerhouse.com or even better give them a call and they will set you up with a centri and a mail order tune that is pretty much dead on. They are the best when it comes to supercharged modular applications.

If you were going to do the KB by yourself, I don't see any reason why you can't do a centri. All it is is pulling some of the front accessories off the motor, mounting the blower bracket, mounting the headunit, throwing the accessories and belt back on, replacing injectors/plugs/fuel pump, and hooking the Xcal up to your computer to load the blower tune. Should be able to get it done in 8 hours. You can also contact my tuner, Bob Kurgan at bob@kurganmotorsports.com. He is also a big Vortech dealer and can hook you up with the V3 Si and a mail order tune. Contact MPH and Kurgan and see who gives you a better deal. I will be going with Kurgans kit next year. http://www.chicagolandmustang.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22280

Vortec and Vortech are 2 different companies. Vortec makes GM engine parts. Vortech makes superchargers. Vortechs are better/more efficient than Prochargers. Prochargers have heating issues that's why they come with the intercoolers at low boost levels. You can always just get the S trim or upgrade to the T trim for $250 bucks. Both of those blowers have crazy whistle. I personally think that the centri blowers sound mean as hell because they whistle the entire time. You can be sitting at a red light and it just sounds so cool. You only hear a twin screw/eaton when you get on it.

do i need to get it tuned our dynoed and also how hard would the install be whats the price

The tune should be pretty close to where it should be, but it is always a good idea to get it dynoed just to make sure the air/fuel ratio is correct. Pretty much any major mod that you do the car should be dynoed to check if everything is running properly. I'm sure there is a place around you that can strap you on the dyno, do a run, and give you a print out of your results. It does not have to be a Mustang place. I believe the Modular Powerhouse kit is $3900. My tuner's kit would be a few hundred dollars cheaper. To the local guys he offers the kit, installation, and tuning for $4,000. I doubt it would be more than $3500 for him to get it out to you. As far as how hard the install would be: How good are you with working on cars? If your inexperienced, then just getting the belt off maybe hard for you. If you somewhat know what you have to do, then you should be fine. As long as you have the time to do it, you should be fine.

^ Where did you get that from? The Vortech does not come intercooled. The stock 3.6 pulley produces 8psi. If you add an MPH or Anderson Performance powerpipe to it you should see 10psi. The powepipes are like $200.

Do an Eaton Swap like me if you can find one. Cheapest way to get a roots style blower. Whipple does not make a blower for the n/a 32v's.

is your car stick or auto. If it's stick it will make more power because you could rev it higher. On the stock pulley, 8psi, it should add at least 100-110 rwhp. Adding a powepipe should put you at ~ 10psi where you can see 130rwhp. I'm giving you conservative numbers. Stock GT's with 8psi and a tune have put down 350-360rwhp. You'll be looking at close to 400rwhp with the 8psi kit.
