Tranny/clutch problem.

Does anyone know what would cause my clutch to make a creaking noise. When ever I press the clutch pedal in and lift off of it it makes a creaking noise. It doesn't matter if the car is running or not. I know its not the clutch cable. Its annoying as hell. Any help would be appreciated..

after doing research on clutches since recently bieng rapped in the buttox. a screatching noise could be the way the clutch plates have meld together they could be neven or not fitting properly. just a guess do more research on it

umm no my clutch is good. I'm thinking its the throwout bearing. Clutch was replaced before but I think the dumb F### didn't do a good job.

throw out bearing will make a chattering/ticking noise from underneath the car. mine chatters.

I had someone look at it and they said that it looks like the lever is dried out and to lube it the tranny has to come out.. So I'm stuck with an annoying creaking noise or I pay to get it lubed. Or I can do it myself when I have time.
