I read through all the threads, still curious. I am currently running BBK O/R X-pipe with Mac Flowpaths. I have tried Hooker Aerochambers and Flowmaster 1 chambers before the flowpaths. Still not getting the sound I am looking for. Was wondering if swapping the midpipe would change the sound a whole lot. Right now it's just too raspy for my taste. I am thinking either Mac Prochamber or Mac O/R H. Is the prochamber similar in sound to either an x or h? Does it have it's own unique sound?

I will get a clip for you this weekend. I like the mac's they sound good. It is loud, for sure. And I like that. It's just a little too raspy for me. Wide open it just howls and sounds absolutely fantastic. Sound is such a subjective thing though. I think I am going to order the prochamber. From what I understand, it the least raspy sounding. X pipe has the reputation for raspy. H seems to have the rumble reputation and prochamber seems to have a rep for an even deeper rumble than H. Does that sound about right?

Prochamber is coming from Mac next week. Just an update on the Flowpath's.....I am really liking these mufflers, the more I drive. The X pipe is still coming off because of the raspiness, but it is not a bad sounding set-up at all. Just not exactly for me. Other people here like it a lot though.

Well congrats on the new midpipe - I just saw the thread. I think if you've been irritated with the rasp then the prochamber will definately smooth that right out for you. IMO - it won't have the deep rumble of an H, but it will remain deep and smooth. Hope you like the new pipe and good luck with the install

Had major issues getting a hold of a Prochamber for my car. MAC said they would have them available 3 weeks ago, now they say maybe next week. So I ordered one from Texas Hot Hods on Ebay, thinking that if it was listed, they had it in stock. Not so much. They don't have them either. Long story....not so short, screw the Prochamber. I'm sure it's a nice pipe, but I only jump through so many hoops before I give up. Went to Summit Racing, which is 1/2 mile from my shop here where I live. Got a Summit Racing brand O/R H-pipe. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Matched up with the Flowpaths, I have exactly the sound I wanted from my car. 3 sets of mufflers, and 3 midpipes later, I found my winning combo. Summit O/R H, and MAC Flowpaths. Bingo.
