I know this has been discussed time and time again. But here goes. Should I just do the eliminators/simulators? Or should I hold out and stare at the check engine light until budget allows for the programmer? I know in the long run the programmer is the obvious choice. But I may not be able to get the tuner for a little while. Most likely will be able to do it in 2-4 weeks, but I don't know for sure. Again, I realize the obvious preffered choice is the tuner. Just looking for thoughts and or experience anyone else has had on this. The eliminators are getting harder to find, especially good ones like Steeda or BBK, or SLP. Lots garbage floating around on ebay and some other ghetto sites. But there are good ones available here and there. I have the Summit Racing Warehouse right here in my back yard in Reno, NV but they have stopped selling them, for obvious legal reasons. At around $400 for the tuner, and whatever someone smarter than me is going to charge to do a custom tune, it's not nearly as easily swallowed as the $60 eliminators. Ya know?
