changing muffler??

My dad is thinking of changing his muffler. He has an 03 MAch ! with stock headers, O/R prochamber and magnaflow cat back. He was thinking of just cutting out the magnaflows and putting in packs. Any clips of thoughts would be great.

I dont have any clips but one of the guys on here had a 4.6 GT with off road pc and packs and it sounded amazing.. MAC mufflers would prolly sound good to..

Can he cut out the old ones and weld in the packs witout any problems??
