View Full Version : 1998 Cobra exhaust in California

So I have a '98 Cobra in which the throwout bearing in the tranny finally gave up. I've anticipated that this would happen for a while, and so, some time ago, I bought a Viper-Spec T-56 to attach under the stickshift in the event that I would need to remove the T-45. So I've removed the old T-45 and I'm thinking - since I have the H-Pipe and tranny out, now would be a good time to upgrade the exhaust.

Now, I get to lookin' for some Long-Tube headers that:
1. Are legal on the streets in the sunshine state.
2. Are ceramic coated (or Jet-Hot, etc.)
3. Will fit with the afore mentioned T-56.

and I'm not finding anything.

So I'm wondering if any of you good people could tell me if Long-Tube headers and California don't mix on the street? Or, if they do, where can I find 'em?

Thanks in advance,
Jerry
