so i need a new mid pipe for my mach 1. i blew out my cut outs and im looking at getting a new mid pipe. i have SLP LM1 cat back and i was wondering if an o/r mid pipe would be bad for my car with the cat back (not enough back pressure). so let me know what you guys think. thanks

^torqueO just said that SLP stopped makin their race pipes that go in plce of the cats, so you might want to check into that to make sure it will still be ane asy swap...

Yep....You can still swap out the cats but you will need to get some straight pipes cut to match and swedged at one end. Sounds like a custom job to me or just look for some SLP race pipes for sale used.
Cant you change the cats out in your Bassani? I heard you could, dont know. I know that an o/r pipe will be LOUD with the LM1 and I'm told that we will loose power with the o/r pipes...good luck in your decision

I have the SLP x pipe and catback and I love the sound of the o/r x and SLP LM1's. If I rebuild the car next summer then I will go with an h pipe cause I will have cutout's after the headers so that I can have cats on it for the just in case. After the first time or two the cats are easier to put in and out. It wouldn't be hard for an exhaust shop to make you some pipes just like the race pipes...as long as you tell them it would be for off road use only ;). May be cheaper than buying the actual race pipes too...who knows.

yeah after reading the other thread on here im just gonna buy the slp x pipe but not worry about takin out the cats. both my cut outs are open now and i cant keep them closed and i dont like it so im gonna stick to cats
